Feeding Recommendations

Provide one tub for every 65-90 head. Average consumption should be 2 -3 ounces per head per day. Prodcut should be available continuously. Locate tubs near a source of water, salt or loafing areas. On open range locate tubs where animals congregate, near gaps or along trails. Variables in consumption could be temperature, humidity, type of animal, animal size, stage of production and animal health. The quality, sourceavailability of roughage and/or light grain may also affect consumption. Measure product upon first introduction to figure consumption. Tub holds approximately 18 lb. per inch. Increase consumption by decreasing number of head per tub or by adding another tub. to reduce consumption, increase number of head per tub or move tubs away from congregating areas. IF this fails, remove a tub. Always provide a fresh clean source of water and free choice salt.
